After spending much of 2006 on the sidelines at events due to an ankle injury he incurred at the very first WQS tournament of the season he was always behind the eight ball ratings wise and slipped into the 2007 draw as an injury wildcard. On his return to the tour after missing the first half of the year (he only debuted in the Boost Mobile Pro in September) he turned heads via some big performances where he pushed the tour front runners right to the edge. “Ace” is an exciting surfer who will be out to crack it big time in 2007. Watch for him when it gets big and hollow.
